WARRANTY:

Simply put, we stand behind the gear we make. What we create is designed to withstand normal use in the backcountry, so you should expect our gear to last you years and years of use.

All Backcountry Exposure products come with a 5 Year Warranty from the date of purchase. Meaning products are warranted, to the original owner, against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. Products are not covered under warranty from normal use, normal wear and tear, neglect, or improper use.

What does normal use, normal wear and tear, neglect or improper use mean? Normal use/wear and tear means that over time zippers, stitching, and fabrics can wear out from being used, especially in dirty environments. Exposure to the sun can weaken fabrics and zipper over time, so the more you take care of your gear the longer it will last. Gear that wears out over time from normal use does not equal failure.

Neglect or improper use means simply not taking care of your gear. We use the highest quality fabrics and components for our gear, and have full confidence in its ability to last you years and years of time in the backcountry. If you fail to take care of your gear it does not mean the item failed due to manufacturing defect.
*Note that delamination of laminated fabrics like UltraWeave or X-Pac is not common. Delamination can happen however from heavy use, exposure to the sun for prolonged periods, and excessive heat.

If your item fails from obvious defect due to manufacturing, defect in components like zipper or fabrics, we will take care of you!

All warranty claims must include the following:
- Email Support@backcountryexposure.com with subject WARRANTY CLAIM - Your Name

We reserve the right to determine whether an item is covered under warranty, or qualifies for repair. Please email with any questions so we can get you taken care of.
